A documentary including footages at the Montreux Jazz Festival that follows jazz legend Clark Terry over four years to document the mentorship between Terry and 23-year-old blind piano prodigy Justin Kauflin as the young man prepares to compete in an elite, international competition.

Classically trained pianist, black power icon and legendary recording artist, Nina Simone lived a life of brutal honesty, musical genius, and tortured melancholy. In the upcoming Netflix original documentary, Academy Award® nominated filmmaker Liz Garbus interweaves never-before-heard recordings and rare archival footage (including Montreux) together with Nina's most memorable songs, creating an unforgettable portrait of one of the least understood, yet most beloved artists of our time.
The first edition of the Montreux Jazz Academy will welcome twelve young promising talents and fourteen established mentors to collaborate and converse for one intensive week of music.
And the public will benefit too! In parallel to private day sessions for the artists, there will be a mixture of interesting music-related activities at the Fairmont Montreux Palace open and free for all.
2 interactive applications developed at EPFL will be available at the Montreux Jazz Academy for the public to experience and discover audio-visual content from the Montreux Jazz Festival archive.
