DAVID BOWIE - MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL 2002 EXCLUSIVE TO ERA 6 BOX
“I am the best jazz you’ve ever seen...”
In celebration of the upcoming era six box set, I Can’t Give Everything Away (2002 – 2016), here’s another of several posts we’ll be making relating to the content.
On this day in 2002, David Bowie performed an incredible 31-song set during the Montreux Jazz Festival at Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux, Switzerland.
Part of the set was made up of ten of the eleven tracks from Low, Weeping Wall was omitted. In fact, the album was only ever performed from start to finish in the right order at one gig.
Aside from Low, songs from Heathen featured heavily along with a fair few Bowie classics such as Life On Mars? as teased in our snippet.
As you know, Montreux Jazz Festival is available in its entirety in the I Can’t Give Everything Away (2002 – 2016) box set.
